We all experience moments of struggle and stress in life that counseling can be beneficial for. The decision you are making to improve your mental health and well-being takes great courage, so please know that I will work hard to earn the trust that it requires. I would be honored to walk alongside you through times of hurting, vulnerability, growth, & reconciliation. It is my hope that we can explore any personal beliefs and values that may be of support to you throughout your healing journey.
Only evidenced based practices will be utilized to cultivate positive change, empowerment, and healing. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Motion Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution Focused Therapy, and a strengths-based perspective will be the primary means to achieve such during our time together. My person-centered practice orientation aims to provide a safe and supportive space for you to feel seen and heard.
Self-care and emotional regulation play important roles in achieving a balanced and flourishing lifestyle. Through psychoeducation, you will learn new ways to process common internal/external feelings and behaviors while creating and upholding healthy boundaries. I look forward to working with you in developing these skills and eagerly await the improved life experiences that can blossom from your efforts.
I work with diverse populations spanning anywhere from adolescents to teens, and adults. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time at the beach with my family and dog, Wilbur. I look forward to serving you and being a part of your journey.
