Katie Mosher, MSW, LCSW
Life can be unpredictable, messy, and overwhelming at times. Asking for help can feel awkward and scary so I am grateful that you are here thinking about taking that first step. It takes a lot of courage to reach out and I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey. I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own life and my job is to provide a safe and non judgemental space to explore yourself and face life’s challenges.
I specialize in working with children ages 5 and older, adolescents, and adults. I am also passionate about providing a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals. As we grow, we are constantly exploring our identities and figuring out how we fit in to the world around us. This is made even more challenging when faced with big emotions that we feel unable to cope with. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, life stressors, problems at school or work; I am here to assist you in developing the necessary skills to grow and thrive. My therapeutic approach includes being person centered, strengths based, empathetic, and relational. Therapy looks different for each person and some of the techniques I pull from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and play therapy.
When I am not in the office, I am often found curled up on my couch reading a book and spending time with my furbabies, Finn and Luna. I also have a passion for traveling and am always looking for the next place to explore. I am so excited to meet you and support you on your journey!
